Russell has learned the in and outs of the business starting in high school, always keeping this as a side business. With a degree in business from University of South Carolina, Russell and Kathryn decided it was time to take this business on full time and never turn back.
With over 20 years of washing experience Russell leads our team each day to ensure every job is done with the customer always top of mind. Russell has a background in competitive hockey leading to high expectations for ourselves and the business. We are always listening to the customer and their needs.
Each home is treated as if it were our own giving it the best care and most quality work. We are so dedicated to Blue Heron that we even name our dogs after the company!

While we are based in Annapolis, we are fully insured and licensed all across Maryland. Check out our portfolio map to find jobs we've done near you.
For a house wash service, it depends on the size of the home but generally takes anywhere from two to four hours. If you add more services, such as a deck or window cleaning, it may add time to the job.
Yes, we always connect to the home's water source. We need at least one water spigot but would prefer more if possible.
We can work around most items, but please bring in small items such as shoes, small plants, kids' toys, and anything you don't want to get wet in the process. On decks and patios, we can work around furniture and large or heavy items. For most house washes we recommend removing screens, or sliding them into the up position if the screen doesn't easily pop out, in order to have the windowsill open to clear debris. We also require all exterior lights to be off, including motion or sensor lights around the home.
There is no need for anyone to be home during the service, but if you are able to be at home we do prefer that.

The only requirement we have is that exterior lights are turned off while we are working on your project.
